According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, over 78 million adults and about 12.5 million children and adolescents are obese in the United States. Research shows that in the U.S. alone obesity related illnesses claim over 850 lives a day and over 310,000 a year. Ever since these overwhelming statistics became known to the public, Americans have made changes in their lifestyle patterns. Today the trend against processed, artificial and unnatural foods and beverages is in full swing.


Americans have always been empowered to choose what is best for themselves and their families. Therefore there is no wonder that the market for non-dairy milk beverages is increasing by over 5.6% a year reaching, an estimated $1.5 billion in 2012. It is this essential principle of having the option to choose that allows more and more Americans (health conscious consumers) to choose nutritious foods and all natural healthy beverages, essentially choosing a higher quality life.


A major dilemma exists in the $1.5 billion U.S. non-dairy beverage market. Consumers can choose soy milk that is low in potassium and contains added sugar; or they may choose allergy causing almond milk. There are also other options like rice milk, coconut milk, oat milk and fruit & protein beverages that all possess characteristics not suited for those individuals with allergies, sensitivities to grains, raw and vegan consumers. For instance, rice milk is low in calcium and protein and may contain levels of arsenic that can cause cancer. Coconut milk is high in fat, more expensive and contains added sugar. Oat milk is difficult to find in supermarkets and does not contain calcium. Fruit and Protein beverages are full of added sugar and may not be as healthy as the claims state.


As the battle wages on against processed, artificial, and unhealthy foods and beverages, FRESH START BEVERAGE COMPANY® clearly sees a void in the universe of the non-dairy beverage market that needs to be filled. Fortunately nature has coalesced all of the characteristics desired by health conscious consumers into an all-natural non-dairy beverage that healthy holistics call banana milk…BANANA WAVE is the future of the alternative milk industry.

BANANA WAVE is milk made from the people’s superfood of choice bananas. To American consumers who are somewhat unfamiliar with the product, banana milk is the liquid produced from pureed bananas combined with other superfoods that fuse together for one great yummy taste. The alternative milk industry makes up 8 percent of the total U.S. dairy and non-dairy milk market. Packaged Facts projects that the U.S. retail non-dairy beverage market will exceed $1.7 billion in 2016. The banana growing industry produces over sixty million tons of bananas each year equating to household spending of over $4 billion in 2012 alone. Because of these statistics we know that Americans are very familiar with the taste of bananas and non-dairy beverages which will result in consumers’ trying BANANA WAVE banana milk for years to come.


We are aware that in order to successfully launch and promote our product, a considerable investment will be required to commercialize our secret recipe, hire employees, develop a marketing and sales plan to educate our consumers about the benefits of drinking BANANA WAVE banana milk.

FRESH START is seeking an investment of $300,000 USD in phase one (according to Beverage Industry magazine in the 2012 new product development survey companies reported that the average cost to develop a new product is approximately $157,903 USD) and $450,000 USD in phase two. In phase three we will require $2 million USD. Phase one funding will be used for formulation completion, purchase initial inventory, completion of our marketing plan, taste test surveys, and conducting focus groups at various universities, farmers markets, churches and natural food & beverage trade shows. Phase two and three funds will be utilized to establish an office in the Greater Ft. Lauderdale-Miami area, hire reliable co-packers and food brokers, hire our employees and sales force, launch the “BANANA POWER” marketing and “Wake up to a FRESH START!™” educational campaigns, seek a national distributor and be used as working capital to maintain sufficient inventory.
