Who is your customer?

Our customer is local and national businesses. We offer them a unique and sustainable marketing opportunity to a demographic that last year alone spent $200 billion. While businesses are our customers, we aim for schools and more importantly students to benefit from our business. Our team has done extensive research on motivating students with incentives and have found a positive correlation with performance and rewards.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

Our product aims to inspire a new culture around academic excellence across the nation and world. By rewarding students for requirements they must fulfill to graduate anyway, we aim to make it cool to succeed in school. Our product is coming at a time in America when education needs the most help. Currently, we rank 17th in world in education and every 26 seconds a student drops out in our nation. From a business standpoint we solve vendors problems of not being able to connect with younger consumers.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

Our product will be successful because our target demographic is indefinitely sustainable. There are over 27 million students age 12-18 across the nation and as mentioned before, these young people spent over $200 billion last year alone. By rewarding students with discounts to local and national businesses we directly link students to businesses. From a business standpoint, we offer companies a chance to establish early brand loyalty while at the same time showing that they support academic achievement. In addition, the school system encompasses much more than just grades, attendance and community service. As we move forward GZpoints aims to reward and motivate students in every aspect of their education as they advance.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

Our team is executing our idea by starting off with a pilot program this fall. This means coordinating with schools now. We are currently meeting with schools in New York, Philadelphia, New Jersey and on the West Coast for our pilot program. Our pilot will be completely free to businesses the first three months so that we can work out any problems we may encounter. Our business is and will always remain free for schools so nothing will change for them. What gives our team an advantage over others already in the market is the fact that there has never been a consolidated rewards program for school performance. Some companies have had their own rewards program but we are the only current company that aims to combine deals from thousands of different businesses nationally.
