Creating lasting memories of your kids or vacations is hard to do. People take loads of photos but they can’t be combined with comments to make it easy to remember where and when the photos were taken. Scrapbooks are expensive and time-consuming.
Sharing on Facebook or other social media sites is fun but the Timeline feature becomes randomized over time. Everything from the cause you support to your son’s prom photos appear in your Timeline. And we all fear Facebook is just too public.

Memory Streams is an innovative new software application that lets anyone create a cutting-edge chronicle of life. A Memory Stream itself is a sleek new concept that shows your notes and photos together in an entirely new way. Mothers can jot down notes about a new baby, add photos and videos, then share that Memory Stream with family. College students use Memory Streams to keep track of their classes and upload their papers and projects to recall forever. Trainers and designers document their clients’ information recalling it out of the cloud instead of locked in a file in their office. Travelers use Memory Streams to create multimedia trip journals. Who is your customer?
Our target customer could be from nearly any demographic, but mothers, seniors, and travelers will be our first focus. Consumers are increasingly seeking meaning in their lives and making Memory Streams is a path to that end. Facebook sign ups and usage levels are leveling out. Everyone is concerned about privacy. Interest in personal storytelling is growing. Memory Streams addresses these concerns and more.
What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?
Remembering what's important is a need that is not met well today. Photos are piled in shoeboxes and folders out of context with notes and memories. Facebook allows us to tell our story but in one giant random stream. For many, Facebook is too public and scattershot. Scrapbooks are too expensive and so time-consuming they are beyond consideration for most people. Remembering life's interesting parts in a cohesive way is difficult in one simple-to-use product.
What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?
MemoryStreams.com is a product that is multi-purpose and flexible. It is easy and fun to use. Making a Memory Stream can be done all at once or one Memory at a time. Most of all, when you are done making a Stream, it is fulfilling. It feels like a treasure that you can keep completely private and secure, or you can share it with whomever you like, one email at a time, or to Facebook.
I believe that the charm of Facebook is wearing off, and for many people they never saw the charm of sharing once-private matters with so many. MemoryStreams.com has unlimited uses and creates a feeling of accomplishment when you use it. These are just a few of the reasons I think it will be successful.
